you are able to execute more maneuvers, with less effort, at the expense of precision.
perfect summary of the main difference between gamepad and kb/m.
this gives a better, more direct connection to the game you are playing.
kb/m is really best suited for multiplayer direct-action.
most other games dont require such elaborate control
