Subject: Update on my lightning wizard

She is now doing over 2 million DPS sheet damage (with buffs).

For an earlier explanation of the build, along with added-value comments on fashion, see my writeup on MBM.

Here is the present paper doll.

Basically, the wizard uses lightning at high attack speed to proc a 15% chance of doing up to 14,000% weapon damage. This is made possible by the Manald Heal ring (in Cube). Electrocute hits very quickly, thanks to the Shame of Delsere belt.

She also exploits the interesting property of the Legacy of Nightmares set rings, which encourage the use of ancient legendary gear instead of set armor. To wit: as long as the rings are your only set bonus, every piece of ancient legendary gear adds 100% damage.

Finally, since the wizard is not using Teleport, she needs survivability. This is provided by the cubed Aquila Cuirass and the Ashnagarr's Blood Bracer in conjunction with Magic Weapon/Deflection. High resource is maintained by the cubed Hergbrash's Binding belt. In Torment 10-11, she is able to stand in lethal elite affix effects (e.g., Arcane Beams, Molten explosions, etc.) without taking significant damage. For higher levels, she would need more paragon points and possibly Teleport.

Recently, I added the Etched Sigil source and switched from Black Hole to Energy Twister. I also traded a Fragment of Destiny wand (which increased the attack speed of Spectral Blade) to the Twisted Sword (which increases the number of twisters you can have in motion). I was surprised by how powerful this change turned out to be. The Etched Sigil automatically casts twisters pretty much every time I use Arcane Torrent -- at no additional resource cost. The lightning damage charges made possible by Energy Twister/Storm Chaser are almost constant because everything works so quickly. Electrocute/Chain Lightning and the twisters proc the passive Paralysis bonus of Manald Heal quite rapidly, so there are very few moments when monsters aren't stunned and taking massive damage.

I believe this wizard is at least on a par with my Wafflehouse killer. She may even be more powerful, though Wafflehouse is more nimble and covers more ground.

I'm still looking for a pair of ancient Tasker and Theo gloves, which will vastly increase the attack speed of my dual Hydras, which in turn will have their damage increased when patch 2.5.0 comes out about the last week of March.

I understand why you're in awe. You can't look at builds like this and maintain full control of your sphincter. Some people may need to wipe away spittle. This is perfectly normal.
