RE: Breath of the Wild
Because this one is actually good and doesn't need the Zelda name to carry fanboy sales.
Out of the dozen or so Zelda games that came out, I thought Wind Waker was tedious but ok until the fun you had from saling wore off 45 minutes into the game, Ocarina of Time was amazing for its time, and a Link to the Past on SNES is probably my favorite. Everything else I had zero interest in.
This game is actually good though. Despite the dated graphics, it puts every other open world game I've played to shame since it actually fills the world with interesting things... which is sort of a feat in itself given that the world is larger than Skyrim. And Nintendo may make odd games and live off of its franchises but they also don't fuck around on quality, so combine that direction with 300 developers + over 3 years of development and it was pretty much impossible for this to be a bad game.
