RE: Breath of the Wild
I would agree with the latest one not being a Zelda game. There's still a lack of depth in terms of characters, but the world is the main character really. Instead of spending the game slowly acquiring all of your abilities, you learn all of them within the first hour of the game then they just let you loose to get your shit fucked up.
I'm usually pretty quick to roll my eyes at Nintendo. Their online sucks, their last console was an unmitigated disaster, and they are constantly cutting hardware corners to shave $60 off of the console when most gamers would gladly pay it for better looking games... but so far this is easily one of the best console games I've played.
That being said, I'm well aware I paid $300 for a Zelda machine since there is no way to show up this game.
