alright, the presequel is really good, this is for sure now.
just completed the first playthrough and i can definitely say this is an incremental, somewhat subtle improvement to the series.
the claptrap DLC is really where this game shines
its much larger than i thought it would be, its almost an entirely new game in itself. the base game combined with this DLC is definitely going to be well over 40 hours playing through
but the DLC really is where you can preview gearbox's maturity as a developer. it's totally different than anything else. there are many, many improvements, i definitely see it as a clear sign to the future of this series, and the future is very good.
the level design and general artistic direction of everything is improved, there are many things done right, they even introduce high quality CGI movies which are only a shave below the quality of blizzard ingame movies or final fantasy
