The distributor is Universal, but principal photography took place mostly in the UK, so I don't know.
This seems to be the first in a new series of Universal "classic monster" movies -- Wolf Man, etc. The idea is to connect various plot threads and characters as the films go on. I'm thinking someone at Universal was influenced by Marvel.
