I played Skyrim for well over 300 hours. As usual, I became the leader of every faction. I exploited crafting to make the usual Bethesda undefeatable Godzilla character and enjoyed myself quite a lot until I realized that the whole thing was mostly caves and tombs. Some of the caves and tombs were pretty neat. One cave was truly spectacular. After that cave, all the other caves paled in comparison. I found myself thinking, "Maybe today will be a great cave day," but that one cave was hard to beat.
tldr: Skyrim failed at being Morrowind.
So you know: the Skywind mod will never be finished.
