simply replace muhammad with charlemagne.
we think christianty has deep historic roots, but it really didnt take hold until long after the fall of the roman empire.
christianity is younger than islam, this worship of jesus was a fringe cult with absolutely no historic significance until the dark ages, long after the fall of rome/
its much younger and less significant than people think
