"Genius" is not an adjective
It's a noun, as in "Einstein was a genius."
"Ingenious" is an adjective.
You can't say, "Einstein had a genius idea." You can say, "Einstein had an ingenious idea."
I know it adds an extra syllable and requires you to enlarge your vocabulary, but that's how language works. Otherwise, we would go around saying, "That's a dog biscuit idea" or "Einstein was an ingenious."
Don't get old. You start obsessing over things like this. You also start getting calls all day from people trying to sell you hearing aids or AARP membership renewals.
AARP, by the way, is one of those "non-profit organizations" that were once beneficial but got taken over by money-hoovering interests. Their "non-profits" currently range in the hundreds of millions. The benefits are weak at best.
Anyway, stop using "genius" as an adjective or I'll set my dogs on you and call the police.
