Cass is cool if a little murdery. But I had to dump Boone before going to the Legion base or we would get killed.
Turns out there are mods that do a better job of autosaving than the base game so hopefully I will have no more problems like last night. I'd just rather have them hate hate HATE me so bad than replay all the shit I would have too because I would forget something and then hate my life.
