Subject: RE: trail-niggers are real

i really dont want to go into full details of all my plans
but i worked out something special for skyrim,
in balancing the level cap and exp rate, i came up with the idea of changing how character builds should be made from the ground up.

the idea of my game would be to obtain many skills, almost all of them, in a coherent and interesting manner.
you start off as melee pleb, anyone can swing a sword. 1h. and shield. but not everyone can use a bow or command magic. as these actually require skill, with magic being the most difficult and most bennificial or destructive (because it actually is. there is no reason to give the player the powers of the arcane so early on)
you build around melee/stealth skills first (anyone can sneak or steal), then unlock range weaponry just a little ways after, then when your bow and 1h sword skills and all the other skills are sufficient, you begin to unlock magic twords the end, there might be other requirements for doing this, i.e. something more than just walking up to the fucking college of winterhold and casting a parlor trick on the toes of a cheap whore.

if you really think about withholding the skills, mainly magic in this way, it makes totally makes sense. magic is special and is best when its reserved for end-game content this way.
but also the exp rate a skills cap really comes into play when building your character overall, how you need to utilize many more combat skills and other skills, and how it effects the over all progression of your build, in a fun way.

there are just so many ways to change this game, i cant possibily write it all down here. it would be better if i could just consolidate everything into a book and have the dingbats over at nexus just do what i fucking say.

but man, those dragons, it would be a miracle if someone can patch in the proper AI.
its the thing i want to change the most and coincidentally the most impossible thing to change.
