RE: trail-niggers are real
Last night, I spent hours making a sign for the bridge entry into Sanctuary. It was going to say something like "Here Dwells the Fashion Tsarina," but I gave up. One reason was that there is no fashion in FO4. The other was that I didn't plan the sign correctly.
I was using light boxes on an elevated platform so you could see it from Red Rocket (maybe even from a elevated position at Abernathy Farm, but this would have been unlikely). It was huge.
Unfortunately, I didn't build it high enough. To do lettering with light boxes, you need to get as high as the skybox will allow, and I didn't do that. Also, you have to wire each light box individually, which will drive you mad unless you have great patience and mental control like me.
I may restart it, but there are other projects that would be less silly, such as a water tower with no water, or a building containing 250 televisions. I may build a big corral and use the console to spawn a bunch of two-headed cows. Naturally, it would be overcrowded. As a warmup, I guess I could put more strobe lights on top of my nuclear generator building.
