Subject: RE: trail-niggers are real

forgot to mention,
the hit-commit mod really changes everything up

if you remember, back in 2011 when skyrim first released, i was complaining about the "feel" of the game. i didn't like how the characters were controlled, and i didnt like the animation of the very first bridge being lowered inside the helgen keep dungeon

the "feeling" i was trying to describe was how your character could just freely rotate when swinging a weapon.
the hit-commit mod fixes this, and does it right.
it doesn't flat out lock you when you swing, it keeps some movement, but very little, just so you dont get the feeling of being frozen solid

all the other NPCs have this too.
there are times where you will be engages with a couple of dudes only to find this other dude out of nowhere with a 2h warhammer doing an incoming power swing on you, and you can dodge the swing and see it fly past you as it barely misses.
you can do this without installing the dodge mod.
just naturally side step away from the attack

so yes, once you fix the weapon swings, and get rid of the limitations of NPC combat AI, so they can all attack you at once, and cleverly/aggressively, the combat of skyrim becomes quite good.
totally worthy game to play
