I found a bare spot in Fallout 4; other news
What I mean is, I found another workable Conquest settlement area. I'm surprised by how much of the game map is unusable. Everywhere you go there are trees or other things that interfere with construction. Bad offenders are mutant insects that spawn on otherwise workable land. It's not that the insects can't be managed; it's that your farms and stores would be torn up by turrets going off all the time.
In any event, I'm working on a wonderful spot. It's a little river or stream with another dam. This one actually holds back water, so I'm building out docks for people to fish on the high-water side. On the low side, I have a stilted area for socializing and marketing. Along both shores of the low side, I have my dorms, greenhouses, and power station.
I also figured out a way to make foot bridges across the stream so that farmers can go from their housing directly to the greenhouse. Naturally, since I put so much work into this, the farmers will ignore the bridges and try to drown themselves or get stuck on rocks, etc., but I'm used to that. In the end, this could be my best settlement yet, which is saying a lot since my latest ones are pretty spectacular.
Also, the Necromancer in Diablo 3 is pretty good. So far, I'm ignoring all that fiddly blood-for-damage business and enjoying the poison/pet features. ILA's necromancer is the Corpse Explosion champeen.
Also, I may get Planet Coaster before it goes off sale.
