With Fortnite BR being free, you could always just give it a try. PUBG is the same with a (much) shittier framerate, a bigger map, a wonkier feel, aiming down sights and 400% more hilarious racism in voice chat. Much like H1Z1 KOTK before it, both games feel like hastily put together mods of other, greater games, PUBG more than Fortnite BR.
If I had to pick one or the other, I'd probably pick Fortnite just on the virtue of it being free. Just be aware that my opinion of both games is slanted cause in truth, I don't like either of them, I only ever play them because of friend invitations and my general inability to decline.
