to make things clearer,
when you dream, you are not actually orcistrating the dream yourself.
you are your own will,
and your will is not directing this dream, otherwise you would be doing it, as a force of effort conscious.
furthermore, you and your will are typically in another environment altogether when you dream. weather it be in a forest or on the moon, this environment or location is being generated for your persona to interact in. so you would both have to create an entire realm and be the one exploring it. like you are seriously the holodeck from star trek. but you are not.
you cannot sit there and just create totally real VR environments to explore in by your own free will. its impossible. someone or something else absolutely most do this for you.
your brain simply cannot generate such complex and random things just from grabbing thoughts you absorb daily in real life. THAT is absurd.
