Could probably preheat both components and apply the solder to one of the surfaces. I don't know how quickly you could safely dissipate the heat after mating. Regardless, it seems like a strange thing to do, and with the heatsink overhang, it just begs to to crack the die or break it off the interposer from just regular use and handling.
