The previous gen was only slightly smaller than that of an average ladybug. They are very similar to them.
Ladybugs are another insect we take for granted,
specifically their red spotted pattern and ghost-white helmet. This design is also highly unique. It's the best coat of the insect world. They also behave very similarly to these dragon beetles. Especially their flying habit, only ladybugs rarely intrude indoors. But outside they are the same, you can handle a ladybug and they rarely ever fly unless they really have to.
These dragon beetles however, morph into the large ugly stinkbugs as their final form. The ladybugs are the same, they would also drink our blood if they became such size.
Though this blood drinking doesn't seem to be a malicious act. They probably think of it as plain nutrient harvesting without any clue they are violating humans.
