The problem with the Fallout world, besides the fact that it's ripped off from Wasteland, which was probably ripped off from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome . . . the problem is that evolution, in whatever form you like, doesn't work like it does in fantasy. It's very slow and very unspectacular. You don't get giant mosquitoes and two-headed cows all over the place. You certainly don't get them from 200-year-old nuclear events.
The whole Fallout world is completely unbelievable, not only for its nonsensical ideas about science and ecology, but also for its massive list of gameworld inconsistencies.
I still think it's neat.
