First ride of the year....
So, I just got home today about 3:30, and it was in the 60s outside for the first time (at least, while I'm home), so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to remove the cover on my bike, and go for a ride around town.
I got all my gear out of the closet, put the key in the ignition, and pressed the starter button. Being the lazy asshole that I am, the batter was practically dead since I didn't bother winterizing it at all. All I can say is that jumping it wasn't going to be as convenient as it is on most cars. Actually, I didn't even know where the battery was. I did end up finding it - under some relays and covers that are under the drivers seat - no way of getting to it without tools. Finally got to it, and jumped it with my car.
I drove it around my complex a little bit just to make sure everything worked, and wear my brakes in, then hit the road. It then became apparent that 60s is not very warm when you don't have a windbreaker - and I left mine at a friends in florida. Looks like I'm gonna have to ride down there and get it.
