RE: Fallout 76 4x bigger than FO4
Cyberpunk 2077 looks like Blade Runner meets Grand Theft Auto, which may not be a bad thing. I wish they'd shown more in-game footage.
Fallout 76 has got me mildly upset.
1. Same crappy engine.
2. Can opt for single-player but game is fully online.
3. Monsters seem to be reskinned Skyrim and FO3/4 enemies.
4. Settlement building seems ripped off from Campsite/Conquest mods with limited objects.
5. West Virginia, home of 80 billion coal mines.
As we know, online-only games are always up and reliable, so I'm not worried about that. Plus, Bethesda never has bugs, so that's doubly assuring. Still, I have questions:
1. How will PVP and PVE work? Separate servers? Tag-on/tag-off? What's to prevent Jaime from killing me with his silent crane technique?
2. How can you have mods with this setup? You can't. Well, not to worry. Bethesda will probably have official microtransactions so things will be fair. All you have to do is buy all the crap everyone else is buying.
3. How can this world be four times bigger than FO4? I'm not concerned. All Bethesda has to do is follow their Far Harbor design, which was basically make a big land mass with nothing in it. But I forget the coal mines.
4. How am I going to build my giant shanty towns? Has Bethesda worked out how they'll get cows on rooftops or make settlers try to walk through walls? Probably. This would be a priority.
5. How will ILA kill me with a train? Will there be train tracks? Most likely, they'll have coal trolleys.
