CUSTOMER: "Honey, I got this $25 gift card for $22."
WIFE: "Oh, nice. Where did you get it?"
CUSTOMER: "Guy out there sold it to me."
WIFE: "A guy by the door? You didn't buy it at a store?"
CUSTOMER: "That's the beauty part. He was right there. I didn't have to drive or pay tax or anything."
WIFE: "Honey, he didn't have to pay a dime. You just gave him $22 for something he got for free."
CUSTOMER: "No, he explained all that. Plus, I didn't have to pay tax."
WIFE: "I don't think you pay tax on gift cards, sweetie."
CUSTOMER: "So I pull off this amazing coup and all you can do is crap on it?"
WIFE: "Pretty much."
