personally im quite confident i can get this 10$ ebay cpu i just bought to easily be a relevant gaming machine, all through the 8th home console generation, which extends past 2018
i just bought an intel xeon x5450 and did the pin jump sticker mod, then clipped the socket nubs and modded/flashed a new bios
