s775 mobo = 15$
771 to 775 bridge sticker = 2$
8gb ram (4x 2gb) = 18$ could have talked guy down to 15 or 16$
the only caveat is the motherboard,
everything on ebay seems to be literally the only chipset not compatible with the 5 series xeon. which i think is the Q series, but every other intel chipset works, except the early 900 shit from 2005
