I've since found a way to hide obtrusive electrical wiring, but I use it sparingly. My belief is that settlers wouldn't know any more about sophisticated wiring than they know about constructing buildings from scavenged junk. If wires get really distracting, I'll hide them.
In these shots, I made most of the telephone poles using a mod. Some electrical wiring is attached to these, which I think worked out rather well.
