Subject: 240p

really cant believe how small this resolution is
looking at a ps1 game running in a 320x240 window on a modern LCD is very interesting,
you can see all the original graphics in their pixel perfect form. all the FMV and everything are crystal clear, very high production quality, unrivaled. though it is damn small. that little window hardly amounts to anything. really cant imagine how to successfully pack an entire game in there. the CRT is magnificent in projecting such a small image, the trickery of multiplying something tiny into something large this way. impossible for anything else to do it.
yes i must obtain a high quality CRT TV.

its very strange how the wii outputs in 240p
it really does this, despite the fact the gamecube will not. its quite odd for a 7th gen console to do this, if only it were slightly more powerful though. just to get proper ps1/n64 emulation.
and yes, very sad how the xbox classic cannot output in 240p. despite the fact its principle design was for CRT television sets. the 6th gen was all in 480p, even the PS2. the PS2 was backwards compatible with PS1 because it had actual PS1 hardware built in, which also output in 240p, but only the PS1 hardware would do this, so technically the PS2 is 480p only.
