Subject: Book thread

I've been reading some of Jack Vance's mystery fiction. Despite lacking elaborate imaginary societies and other Vancean science fiction tropes, it still reads a bit like you'd expect Jack Vance to do. It's great to know there are several Jack Vance novels I haven't read yet...

I've also started collecting the collected fiction of William Hope Hodgson. I missed out on this when it was published in hardback, but there's a new trade paperback edition. There are some pretty good horror stories in these books.
