RE: moar flies
When I had an RV, I walked in one night and there were like 30 flies in there, mostly just hanging out on the ceiling. I don't remember how I came about the idea, but at some point I noticed that shining a flashlight on them prevents them from noticing it approaching until it's too late and the lens is smashing them. It didn't take long to kill every last one of them that way.
