The $200 was supposed to get you not only the canvas bag but also a genuine replica power armor helmet, constructed of only the finest plastic, along with a package of army men, a glow-in-the-dark map, and a steel case for an installation disc that doesn't exist.
As for people not admitting they bought this edition, just do a youtube search for Fallout 76. Tons of people are publicly displaying their nerdism and analyzing the problem.
P.S.: the bag is intended as a tote for the helmet. I assume you would need this if you wanted to call a meeting of Fallout nerds.
