RE: Mountain Dew
Did you know that you can visit specialty soft drink shops and buy what purport to be legacy beverages that use 1950s formulas? I myself have purchased samples of Dr. Pepper and 7 Up. I must say I was a bit disappointed. These retro companies may think they're reproducing the originals, but they're not. The way I can tell is that they don't have the near-intoxicating power of the old drinks. The fruit tastes are flatter, and the carbonation doesn't go up your nose correctly.
I don't know whether there's a legacy Mountain Dew. I suspect the new stuff is probably better than it used to be.
