Its true. I've been using 64bit vista for several months now and everything works and is stable. While it does actually allow more usable ram for 32 bit apps, you will find many games will still stream and chop even though you have 80% free physiscal memory.
For instance, Stalker clear sky never goes above 1gb of usage on my machine, and still hits the disk constantly when walking across a map.
