Seriously, you can get two good computers now for what you used to pay for one. I was looking at a $800 Dell the other day. It was spectacular. It had a really nice CPU, 4gb of RAM, a huge hard drive, and a 22" monitor all in one box. It wasn't a gaming machine, but it would be a great all-around office/home PC for years to come. I would buy the first one to use and the second one to leave in the box, so in case the first one broke, I could use the second one while Dell pretends to fix the first one. If it didn't break, I could show it off to friends.
"See that computer over there? The one in the box? It's exactly like this one. I have two. Check out that box. The tape is still on there. I could open it any time I want, but I'm using this one."
My friends would die with envy.
