I was going to install Quake 1
using the installation CD I bought in 1997... but it turns out the installer software DEICE doesn't work on 64bit versions of Windows :(
This sucks. I was looking forward to spending the evening playing the original Quake single player levels, which I haven't played in probably at least 15 years.
Now I'm wondering if there's a 64bit compatible software that can unpack the data files off the CD. That couldn't be too hard for someone to program, could it?
Or maybe the installer would work on DOSBox...
