The Highwaymen
It turns out that there really is something good on Netflix, or at least I think so. The main reason is that this is an unusual approach to the Bonnie and Clyde story. You finally get to see things from the perspective of the retired Texas Rangers, Frank Hamer and Maney Gault (though I think Gault was brought in much later than the movie depicts). You don't really see Bonnie and Clyde until the very end. As Hamer hunts them, they're like ghosts -- you see their cars, Bonnie's legs, Clyde's hands, just glimpses. Maybe this was to emphasize Hamer's frustration over their elusiveness and mythologized status.
Anyhow, I liked it. Give it a look if you're browsing Netflix.
