RE: the edid jew
here is what i know
the nvidia gpu can read the EDID
the display initially works as intended
then for no reason at all, upon shutdown of the system and sometimes sleep, the nvidia jew sets the display to a strange low resolution at incompatible refresh rate or timings
because i have a blackmarket korean monitor
no settings will change this behavior
the custom resolution utility EDID override only prevents the incompatible resolution upon sleep and not shutdown or restart
though i can bypass this by turning off the monitor before shutdown/restart
