U have no idea
...how much gas a modern Dodge charger rt with 5.7 hemi drinks
First off the engine is considerably larger than the one found inside my truck, which has the largest option available for that model
The Dodge literally gets less than 1mpg when driven hard
But it's pretty fast.
It can corner good though not with any throttle. Definitely not.
The traction control is modern and sufficient. Though the entire vehicle is designed more like a toy for adult men.
The computer is cheap, and the car OS is lackluster
Though the rest of the vehicle is adequate in build quality.
Overall pretty decent vehicle. My only real gripe is the valve body and the shift points. having an 8 speed transmission is not necessarily the best thing for performance. The device is designed to handle the torque though it's not necessarily the best work done here. Especially on automatic downshifting during high performance. Again it's adequate but I feel of the design could have been much better. torque converter locks pretty early which is good for both economy and performance but again also comes into play with the hinderance downshifting and coasting. performance vehicles are not formula 1 cars you don't need like a 10-speed transmission or whatever as if you were driving on a racetrack with very limited deviations.
Oh did I mention the charger was really fast. Again another hindrance here is the ECU it has profiles for both the performance and the economy built automatically but again the way the vehicle handles these both is kind of lazy I don't like how the vehicle responds I cannot stand electronic throttle bodies especially on modern systems with about 40% more sensors than the already convoluted systems of vehicles have been designed with for the past 20 years now. the ECU is both cheap and design for idiots the vehicle is definitely designed for idiots in mind it's like for babies which are idiots. Trust me if there was a way to gut everything all electronics and just throw a carb on that freaking thing it would perform like a goddamn Lamborghini. Pretty sure there's no way to unscrew all that garbage without just removing everything entirely it would take a stupid amount of work done which I'm sure people are willing to pay for it I'm sure there's an aftermarket for that that's already gone through all that is necessary though it's definitely a bit ridiculous and pointless it's sort of like a hyper retail aftermarket but for children. Not exactly like a traditional performance aftermarket would be.
Pretty decent vehicle 8 out of 10.
It's fast and it does turn well without throttle.
