I'm cautiously optimistic for MW5, Piranha Games aren't exactly brimming with talent and MWO left me with a really bad taste in my mouth. The EGS bit is a bummer, not so much for the usual cavalcade of complaints levied against it but because I literally can't buy anything off that store front due to the payment options provided.
I also liked Battletech a lot, fairly close representation of the 3025 era TT stuff with some unique twists. The amount of mods for it is a massive plus.
There were also the Crescent Hawk's games on the Amiga, which were less about the battles and more about the adventure and role playing with a somewhat faithful ruleset. It wasn't quite Mechforce/Battleforce in regards to emulating how the TT game worked, but on the plus side, the developers didn't get sued over it.
