Semi related: I've also revived crappy first wave 360s and laptops with bad cooling solutions by reflowing the motherboard, but they always end up failing again a few months later anyway because of their shitty cooling. Some of that hardware wasn't designed to be used in 105F weather I guess.
+1 for Syncback Pro, I've been using that program to automate weekly backups on a number of sites I do work in. You could also do it with the OS scheduler and a personalized script but it's nice to have a premade, reliable solution that you can just quickly deploy and forget about it until it's time to come in and collect the backup.
