the bbc north & south miniseries from 2004 on netflix should have at least one award if not more
by far the best thing on there
the first episode is a little slow but the series transitions very well onward
main actress is adequate, though not the best, but not anything terrible
but the set design absolutely should be awarded. its beyond anything of a full featured film
they managed to somehow fill an entire room with early 19th century machinery, possibly even 18th century, im not entirely sure. they ran it all in period-exact operational order. down to the drive belts. really, a lot of work was done here just for few very brief scenes. the rest of the scenery was done absolutely right as well. everything else about the film comes together too. the other main character is spot on and the rest are well enough. costumes are top notch. plot and dialog are great.
the fact this series has no awards is only testament to some grand scheme of producing garbage, where actual decent films must be noticed by anyone
