Groupon flying lessons, huh? Lots of the small and "cheap" flying schools use fairly old planes with a shitload of hours on the airframe, maintained to the minimum legal requirements, more or less. The really small operations might consist of one person who is both the instructor and mechanic. It's not necessarily bad, and I would have likely gone that route if I didn't have the opportunity I do through work.
I flew again today, and was alright during takeoff, but unexpectedly had some uneasy feelings during flight at altitude. There were thermals so it was fairly bumpy, though not as bad as last week. I think it's a heights thing, which I am afraid of somewhat. When I had time to look down out of the side window, I definitely got that sensation of fear. I'm going to stay at it for a while, but if the fear doesn't subside at all, I'll give up.
