Then again, they probably don't want to do a gendered class. Therefore, their ranged character will be called a Hunter or Skirmisher or something. It will probably be mounted like a Mongol or the Khergits in Mount & Blade. (D4, as you know, will have horses and probably other mounts, so it makes sense that a class will exploit riding skills.)
