this time around they made all the rare loot more accessible, though you still have to work for it. but they added drop chance stats which you can acquire in various ways just like magic find. it best appears on artifact items.
quite a few things have changed, and all the build info on the game which mainly comes from reddit but other places too, is complete garbage.
the siren is the best class, but she is considered the worst for some odd reason.
weapons this time around are a bit different
to cut things short, the best weapons in the game, by far, are elemental. though it doesnt seem like this for most of it. the very end game is where typical phys dmg weapons become totally useless. not even remotely useful, no matter what they are. even the best phys ultra rare oranges are garbage. and many elementals suck too. but *some* are the only ones which can achieve the 50k dps mark, which is crazy high considering the best end game pys weapons top out at 3k dmg and thats mostly with slow rates of fire.
and the siren has all the right skills to pump elemental dmg to the moon on top of this.
i mean she really hits all the marks.
she has native skill based elemental dmg multiplier stacking, and also splash dmg buffs which is the second most powerful stat.
the top weapons in the game are both elemental and splash damage, and they are pretty much all shotguns and grenades
torgue makes the best shotties, its the only way to get 100k and
their non elemental shotties are very good too, for the earlier playthroughs. sticky shots with at least 9x spread are prefeted, but the 18x ones are the best. these will easily pump you through any boss up until tvhm mayhem 3.
after that you want a corrupted/warped nuke splasher, if you can find one. they will show up as blue and purple, and not orange ultra rare
and any assault rifle which is pure elemental is good too. especially with siren ele conversion stacking on ele dmg buffs.
any weapon which uses elemental stream are good, but the torgue rifles are again the best, and these go into orange with no blue or purple.
