A long time ago I played Portal on my work laptop using the nipple mouse, and found that it worked pretty well, although my fingertip felt a little raw after a few hours. I think force sensing joysticks is what Valve should have used on their controllers. I know General Dynamics used that kind of technology for the control stick in the F-16, and probably every other fighter with fly-by-wire since then.
