At this juncture, a question should arise: Why enamel paint? Why not acrylic or lacquer?
It is natural to wonder about such things. The answer is both simple and scientifically verifiable. Acrylics and lacquers dry to quickly. Enamels and oils have a long "wet life," which is what you want for this application.
If you paid attention to Will Pattison's instructive discussion of paint chemistry (included in his excellent Modeling Fundamentals series), you would already know this. I will assume that at least some people here watched that video attentively. If you didn't, see my post in the archives, or seek out Will's educational content on Youtube. You will be rewarded.
