RE: Some notes about flocking
Just picked-up my modeling stuff again this weekend, as some friends really want me to get into Warhammer 40k. My friend gave me a put together Space Marine and I've started painting him, but I have no idea if it's going to turn out any good.
My paints are all enamel, as I started out making tanks, but apparently all the people who paint miniatures swear by acrylics. Being that I'm poor, I'm not about to run out and buy sets of a acrylic paint, since I already have a solid amount of enamel, but I do worry that the job I'm doing is subpar due to paint medium and not because of my lack of paint skills.
For some reason, on one of the shoulder pads of the Space Marine, I just can't seem to get any coverage. Seems like every time I paint there, it kind of wicks away any other paint that was there before and you can still see the primer pretty well underneath. It probably doesn't matter a whole lot, since the majority of the parts I'm painting will be black anyway, but still. The enamels also seem to clog up the details on the mini, but I may just be laying it on way too thick when I'm going over the mini with the base paint.
I guess it doesn't matter much anyway, as I don't have money for Warhammer at this point.
Also, I forget how to post images.
