Subject: RE: Some notes about flocking

I am going light and trying to thin my paint as much as possible to paint the minis. Once I see how this Space Marine turns out, I may pick-up some acrylics for the D&D mini I have and the one set of Warhammer Orks my buddy bought me.

And yeah, god damn is it expensive. I looked at getting the Ork Starter set and the Codex and that alone on Amazon is over $100; which isn't all that expensive in the grand scheme of things, but it seems hard to justify when I can pick-up tank models all day for less than $20 a piece. And it was way easier and feels way more worthwhile to spend the $200 I did on my computer upgrade than on Warhammer.

Plus, I've already got a hobby/project that drains my money.

I was actually trying to find an 8th edition codex out there for the price of "free" in PDF form, but damned if they're hard to come by. The one link I did manage to find in an hour of searching was dead; I figure if I could at least mitigate some of the cost that would be great, but I'm certainly not chomping at the bit to spend a ton of money on plastic models that I still need to assemble and paint.
