RE: ok im finally playing morrowind
i keep forgetting the game is from 2002,
not just the graphics but the entire size and scope. this is the most phenomenal thing to happen with PC gaming. i dont think anything is comparable. and the original graphics are an almost impossibly awesome addition to this game.
the game is genuinely good, i enjoy the lack of fully voiced hollywood movie actor NPCs too. this is something you cant avoid these days. really its great. it complaints the methodical exploration and pace perfectly.
i still cant wrap my head around how this game was actually released in 2002, meaning that work began well into the 90s. amazing.
i never appreciated any of this before because of my tastes and expectations, which were from different style of games. i was pretty much raised on the NES and SNES, which are twitch platforms, literally perched ontop of a bowl of 100% sugar breakfast cereal
