I know I shouldn't say this, but I like Morrowind's native graphics, including the cartoony trees and horrible water effects. It just seems right. Also, I love vanilla MW's clear night skies.
Default movement for a level 1 player seems slow, but that's because other RPGs default to a ridiculously fast speed. It's not that big a problem since Athletics levels pretty quickly. It takes a while for my character's Fatigue to wear down, and it increases without much ado. At levels 1-3, I was a little bugged by the slow pace. At level 4, I'm doing all right. I'm not trying to take on Golden Saints, so I'm not running away from anything or getting into sustained slugfests.
Not dismissing the great mods. By all means, use them if you have them.
