It's hard to say what the worst video card I've ever owned is, but the 290x is a close tie for it. The only excuses for liking it would have to be either lack of exposure to hardware or pure stupidity. I wouldn't be surprised if you satisfied both. For about a year, I had a 290x sitting in a box gathering dust because I couldn't even give that thing away. It was pure luck that cryptomining became a thing and I was able to offload it.
