RE: simple pleasures
by complex flavor in garlic, i actually mean bold
but i also mean that garlic is somewhat unique in how its formed
but i also mean, that the strength of the flavor of garlic pairs best with citric acid. better than anything else.
and specific to citric acid as its not really a flavor
not many foods actually pair well with the full flavor of garlic by itself. garlic is usually dilute to some greater extent than what is used in paste oil mixture
the combination of salt, citric acid and garlic is divine
